The Book of Jobs by Kathryn Maris selected as a ForeWord Finalist
ForeWord Magazine announced today the finalists for its annual Book of the Year awards. We're delighted to congratulate Kathryn Maris whose debut collection, The Books of Jobs, is a finalist.
The winner will be announced at Book Expo America and in ForeWord in June.
Kathryn Maris was born in New York and educated at Columbia University and Boston University. She has held two poetry fellowships at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and residencies at both Yaddo and the Ragdale Foundation. Her poems have appeared in magazines such as American Poet, Fence, Ploughshares, and Poetry, and in New Voices: University and College Prizes, an anthology edited by Heather McHugh. In addition, she regularly publishes essays and book reviews in British and American periodicals. Currently she is an editor at Poetry London magazine, and a lecturer in creative writing at Morley College in south London. She divides her time between London and New York City.
